ST. PAUL, Minn. (Sept. 12, 2012)—H.B. Fuller Co. has purchased Engent Inc. to help expand its microelectronics assembly technologies.
The purchase of the Norcross, Ga., company will add testing, development and technical support capabilities, according to H.B. Fuller.
Combining the two companies will allow leverage of the adhesive development capabilities, along with investment resources and global reach that H.B. Fuller has established.
“With this acquisition, we add advanced application technology, people and process knowledge that will enhance our growing business in electronics,” Jim Owens, president and CEO of H.B. Fuller, said.
Engent is a producer of small form factor electronics and has been a development and qualifications provider since 2003. The company generated less $10 million in 2011. Engent will be included with H.B. Fuller North America Adhesives business segment.
