ASHINGTON, England (Aug. 21, 2012)—Dunlop Oil & Marine, a division of ContiTech A.G., has been awarded its largest contract to date to supply high-pressure hoses to the oil company Chevron Australia.
The hoses will form part of the world's largest liquefied natural gas extraction project off the coast of Western Australia, the company said.
The order includes the manufacturing of couplings, lines and other connected products. Dunlop Oil & Marine will be supplying more than 70 km of hose and more than 15,000 couplings for this project to factories in Korea, Indonesia and Australia.
The air, water and nitrogen hoses will be manufactured in Ashington, Dunlop said. They will be used for a wide range of different applications, including hot air blowers, water supplies and as flushing pipes.
