CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Aug. 20, 2012)—Pathway Polymers Inc. has signed an agreement with Dismacor S. A., a major tire distributor in Bogotá, Colombia, to provide tire fill solutions to the Colombian Ministry of Defense.
The deal, part of a larger project called El Plan Meteoro, was first launched by Colombian officials to protect and improve road infrastructure and regain roadway security, according to Chattanooga-based Pathway.
The company said its mission is to provide the “best tire flatproofing systems and the best customer support through continuous innovation, which is one of the top reasons Dismacor officials cited for awarding Pathway the contract.”
Fernando Bedos, general director of international business at Pathway, will train and certify Dismacor technicians on the tire filling process.
Pathway, the manufacturer of polyurethane tire fill product TyrFil, said it is the only tire fill provider offering technical training in Spanish.
Pathway, a subsidiary of the Vita Group, also distributes its patented AutoFil Recycling Systems.
