NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio (Aug. 3, 2012)—Lauren Manufacturing Co. is offering push pin seals designed from dense EPDM, according to the company.
The new seals will be sold to tier-one automotive companies and offer an alternative to the laminated seal methods used for things like doors to frames.
The seals, which were designed for chassis and plastic injection parts, eliminate under-hood noises and help control engine temperatures, according to the company.
In addition to the under the hood seals, the company has also created a seal for heavy equipment door frames.
The pins, which are also created from EPDM sponge and bonded together by molded corners, help eliminate door damage that current clip-on seals create.
While it is not easy to install, the seals are secured from collapsing as the doors open and close because of smaller stuffer plugs, according Lauren.
“Customers using push-pin seals from Lauren receive pins that are spaced according to their measurement requirements,” Lauren said. “Once the proper measurements are in place, matching punched holes with the push-pins allow for a quick and efficient installation process.”
