(June 11, 2012)—LWB Steinl GmbH & Co. K.G. will display three innovations at the German Rubber Conference, or DKT 2012, July 2-5.
LWB Steinl will present MicroClass HCQ 100/6, a new injection molding system, which the company said has attainable repetition accuracy to an injection weight of 0.0005 grams.
In combination with a needle shut-off cold runner, the company said it is possible to produce flash-free products.
The company said it also plans to demonstrate its VCRS 500/80 TPE comp, a vertical tie-barless C-frame machine.
LWB Steinl said the machine's basic electrical and safety equipment has been designed so that it satisfies almost all standards applicable worldwide and requires no modification work.
The unit also includes all attachment interfaces required for the scope of options, the company said.
Additionally, LWB Steinl will display its EFE injection system, which it said utilizes shear energy for the homogenous, thorough warming of rubber blends immediately before injection into the mold cavity.
In combination with the Adaptive Control System, it is possible to reduce heating times of a wide spectrum of blends about 30 to 50 percent, according to LWB Steinl.
