AKRON (July 24, 2012)—Allison Strouse has joined Rubber & Plastics News as a reporter, and Sally Dietz has become assistant manager for trade shows for the publication.
Strouse will cover the automotive sector for RPN, as well as other beats and general assignments. She spent the last year as a reporter at the Morning Journal, a daily newspaper in Lorain, Ohio, covering education, police, and the Avon and Avon Lake communities. She graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in news and public relations.
Dietz is involved in the planning and execution of all RPN trade shows. Among these are the upcoming International Molding Conference (Aug. 14-15) in Akron and the International Tire Exhibition and Conference (Sept. 18-20) in Cleveland.
She has 13 years of experience in show and event planning, as well as developing marketing programs and materials. She has been head of marketing for regional wholesale distributors Avalon Food Service and Acme Food Service, and most recently was a sales associate involved with aftermarket tire and automotive service for NTB. She is a graduate of Kenyon College.
