FULLERTON, Calif. (July 20, 2012)—Yokohama Tire Corp. has inked a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the National Football League's Chicago Bears.
The agreement will provide Yokohama with significant brand exposure, the company said, including television and radio spots, in-stadium presence and promotion rights. The tire maker also is running brand advertising on television in the Chicago market this summer and fall to coincide with the new deal.
The Chicago Bears join the company's lineup of other NFL sponsorships, which includes the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. Yokohama has similar deals with Major League Baseball's New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Angels.
“Our football sponsorships have been highly successful,” said Fred Koplin, Yokohama director of marketing communications. “Being with the Bears means being in front of their huge, passionate fan base, which can only give the Yokohama name strong visibility. This ultimately leads to sales.”
