HEBRON, Ky. (July 12, 2012)—Auto components supplier ZF Rubber & Plastics Hebron L.L.C plans to spend $17.9 million to expand its plant in Hebron and add 60 employees, according to Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear.
The company, owned by Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen A.G., will increase the size of the facility by 52,000 square feet and buy equipment to manufacture automotive bushings, engine mounts, anti-vibration products and plastics components.
The firm began construction in late June and should complete the project by the fourth quarter, said Sam Sato, managing director of ZF Rubber & Plastics Hebron.
Recently the company obtained new business that prompted the expansion, Sato said.
The state of Kentucky is providing $500,000 in performance-based tax incentives to ZF.
The plant employs 206, the company said.
