COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 11, 2012)—Rapra Ltd. will hold its first Global Polymer Innovation Expo in Columbus Aug. 26-29.
The expo will take place at Battelle Hall at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, and the organizer expects it to attract 650 to 800 attendees.
Business support groups NorTech, Team NEO and PolymerOhio and the state government are assisting the non-profit Rapra with the event. From the rubber industry, Veyance Technologies is listed as a sponsor, and among the speakers scheduled are Surendra Chaula and David Benko of Goodyear, Joe Walker of Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies and chairman of the ACS Rubber Division, Karl Haider of Bayer MaterialScience, Kedar Murthy of Lehigh Technologies, and David Benko of the Goodyear Innovation Center.
The expo will focus on conductive and electronic polymers, polymer nanocomposites, high-performance polymers, bio-based polymers and feedstocks, degradable and recyclable polymers, and direct digital manufacturing. Thirty-five exhibitors have signed up for the event.
