WILMINGTON, Del. (July 4, 2012)—DuPont and Koch Industries Inc. said they have settled a lawsuit over the 2004 sale of DuPont's textiles and interiors business to Koch subsidiaries.
The companies said the suit was related to indemnification provisions of the $4.2 billion 2004 sale agreement. The case was being tried in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and began June 4.
The settlement resolves the dispute, the firms said. The terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.
Wichita, Kan.-based Koch merged the business with its Arteva Specialties S.A.R.L. subsidiary, and changed its name to Invista S.A.R.L.
The business produces nylon, polyester, spandex and resins.
