STOCKHOLM, Sweden (July 3, 2012)—Trelleborg A.B. and Freudenberg and Co. K.G. have completed the formation of their anti-vibration products joint venture.
The venture—made up of Freudenberg's anti-vibration product business, Vibracoustic, and Trelleborg's corresponding operation—is now operational, according to Trelleborg President and CEO Peter Nilsson.
He said that the 50/50 joint venture, called TrelleborgVibracoustic, has great growth and profit potential. TrelleborgVibracoustic operates 34 plants worldwide. Its product lines include engine mounts, chassis mounts, vibration dampers, air springs, microcellular polyurethane and mass dampers.
It has annual sales in the $2 billion range and a work force of about 8,000.
