PITTSBURGH (June 28, 2012)—Flemming Bjornslev will become the head of Lanxess Corp. on July 31, replacing Randy Dearth as president and CEO, the company said.
Bjornslev, 45, has been with Lanxess A.G. and its predecessor firm, Bayer A.G., since 1990. He most recently had served as CEO of Lanxess' Central Eastern Europe division.
Dearth, 48, is leaving Lanxess to become president and CEO of Calgon Carbon Corp., a Pittsburgh-based supplier of activated carbon. Dearth joined Bayer in 1988 and had been president and CEO of the U.S. arm of synthetic rubber, specialty chemicals and plastics maker Lanxess since it was spun off from Bayer in 2004.
