HRANICE, Czech Republic (June 27, 2012)—Henniges Automotive is expanding production capacity for EPDM-based automotive profiles at its manufacturing site in Hranice, Czech Republic.
The company said it began work on the project in April, and expects to start adding machinery by September. The site profiles are intended mainly for the Skoda A7 passenger car.
Work on the new production hall began in April 2012, and the company expects to begin adding machines by September this year. The new hall will be used for making EPDM profiles mainly for the Skoda A7 model.
Henniges said it expects to invest about $8.7 million in 2012 at the site. Employment should rise by 40 in 2012 and another 130 as production increases in 2013.
