HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (May 24, 2012)—Aurora Rubber and Distribution Inc. has acquired Parasson Corp., a supplier of rubber chemicals, laboratory and production equipment on the West Coast.
Aurora is a 12-year-old distributor owned by Andy Keil, and handles shears, chemicals and safety equipment for Anderson Development Urethanes, Wolff Industry Shears, HB Chemical, San Joaquin Refining, Co., Tee-Group and many other companies. Adding Parasson, its partners and employees will help Aurora to continue to grow its inventory and customer service for their west coast customers, the firm said.
Parasson was founded in 1993 in Fullerton, Calif., by Lefter Parasson. He sold the business in 2006 to Alan Gordon.
Parasson distributes for firms such as Abrasive Supply Co., H.L. Blachford Ltd., Americas International Inc., and many more, Aurora said. Parasson also provides ISO-certified calibration services for lab equipment through its partnership with Midwest Engineering Associates L.L.C. and a nationwide network of rubber technicians.
Products and services will continue to be provided from previous locations until a new office and warehouse are acquired, Aurora said. The acquisition includes Parasson's employees, products and calibration services.
