PITTSBURGH (April 24, 2012)—Raymond J. Labuda, vice president of tire technology at Hankook Tire Co. Ltd., has received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Pittsburgh.
Labuda graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1972 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He joined Hankook in 1992 with responsibility for organizing and creating the company's Akron Technical Center, which he continues to head today.
Before joining Hankook, Labuda spent 20 years working in various capacities at Continental/General Tire Co., rising to director of product development.
