BEIJING (April 16, 2012)—Ding Yuhua, president of China's Triangle Group, called for more green technologies in China, especially in the tire industry, and pledged that Triangle Tire will follow this trend.
Yuhua, who made a keynote speech at an auto and tire industry summit held last week in Beijing, said Triangle will be based on economic responsibility, coordinated development of social responsibility and environmental responsibility.
He said it will take a good low-carbon economy—the path of green manufacturing—to create a new productivity model of the tire industry.
The company, he said, has invested heavily in energy efficiency in the last five years, and has shut down productive production lines because they are environmentally damaging. Replacement lines are more than 15 percent more energy efficient now, he said.
Yuhua pledged that Triangle will continue down this path, studying advanced materials, developing the use of energy saving and environmental protection, employing a green supply chain system, and vigorously developing tires with low energy consumption, low noise and high safety performance.
