LEESBURG, VA. (April 10, 2012)—Christian Fabian has been named CEO of the North American operations of global extruder and injection molder Rehau A.G. & Co.
Fabian is currently vice president of marketing and sales for Leesburg-based Rehau North America. He replaces Kathleen “Kitty” Saylor, who will step down on July 1 to become chief executive in residence of the Montana State University Alumni Foundation.
“This transition marks a significant period in Rehau history, as we advance from a time when the challenges of our economy prompted necessary shifts in our core areas of business,” Saylor said in a news release.
Fabian has spent more than 20 years at Rehau, including stints in Germany, France and England. He has been based in North America the past seven years.
Fabian said his focus will be to hone a cross-selling business strategy, and to invest in the company's construction and industry business divisions.
“While the economy continues to recover, there is no doubt that increasing opportunities for sales are out there, particularly in the rebounding construction industry,” Fabian said.
The company recently added 13,000 square feet of space to its manufacturing plant in Celaya, Mexico, to service the North American automotive industry.
