BROADVIEW, Ill. (April 10, 2012)—Robert Bosch L.L.C. and WinPlus North America Inc. have reached a settlement in a pending Section 337 investigation over Bosch beam wiper blade patents.
Bosch said the probe was initiated by the U.S. International Trade Commission.
According to a Bosch press release, the company said that WinPlus agreed in the settlement “to stop selling beam wiper blade products sourced from its current supplier at an agreed upon date”—without specifying the name of the supplier or date. The remaining terms of the settlement agreement are confidential.
Bosch and WinPlus filed an agreed motion in the ITC action requesting that the agency terminate the investigation against WinPlus, Bosch added.
The Bosch Group comprises Robert Bosch GmbH and its more than 350 subsidiaries and regional companies in some 60 countries. On its website, Winplus said it is a global manufacturer, marketer and wholesaler of automotive accessories that are sold to consumers via automotive accessory retailers.
