TOKYO (March 20, 2012)—Denki Kagaku Kogyo K.K., better known as Denka, said will increase its chloroprene price at least $200 per metric ton across all non-Japanese markets.
Meanwhile, Tosoh Corp. said it will increase its Skyprene CR prices by $430 per metric ton globally.
The Tosoh increase is effective March 31, with Denka following April 1, or as contracts allow. Both companies cited rising energy prices as the cause for the hikes.
