AKRON (March 12, 2012)—Goodyear will host its 12th annual Engineering Career Day April 28 at Firestone High School in Akron.
The event, open to Northeast Ohio students in grades 6-12, is designed to inform students of different opportunities and career paths in engineering. High school seniors will have a chance during the event to compete for one of five scholarships in amounts ranging from $2,500 to $5,000, the company said.
Schools can also compete to win up to $10,000 in grant money by submitting a short video explaining how they would use the money to strengthen its engineering-related programs, Goodyear said.
Event registration is free, and every participating student will receive a complimentary lunch and T-shirt, Goodyear said. The deadline to register for the event is April 15.
