FULLERTON, Calif. (Feb. 3, 2012)—Yokohama Tire Corp. said it will hike aftermarket consumer tire prices sold in the U.S. by as much as 8 percent on March 1.
Yokohama said some inline adjustments will be announced later. The company blamed factors such as global supply problems, economic pressures and manufacturing and logistics costs as key reasons for the price hike.
The U.S. arm of Japan's Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. last increased prices up to 8 percent on consumer tires on Nov. 1, and raised prices on its commercial tires Feb. 1.
