LONDON (Feb. 3, 2012)—Avon Rubber P.L.C. said it will delay deliveries of protective masks to the U.S. military following a legal challenge from a competitor which lost out in the bidding process.
Avon said one of the losing bidders raised a contractual protest to the U.S. Department of Defense, and that will delay delivery for the order. The company does expect the order to be fulfilled for the full year.
“Deliveries against our $6.1 million filter order, placed under a separate three year contract and announced at the same time, are unaffected,” the company said.
