AKRON (Jan. 31, 2012)—The Tire Society is seeking technical papers for its Sept. 18-19 annual meeting and conference, which will be held in conjunction with International Tire Exhibition & Conference in Cleveland.
The organization is asking authors to submit abstracts of papers on topics related to tire materials, mechanics, processing, manufacturing, and applications for presentation at the 2012 conference and publication in the society's journal. The Tire Society's 31st conference will be attended by engineers and scientists from the tire and vehicle industries, academia and government from throughout the world.
The meeting will include a keynote address given by a corporate leader in the tire industry, a plenary lecture by a leading scientist and an awards banquet with an after-dinner speaker.
The conference will be held at Cleveland's International Exposition Center, adjacent to Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Tire Society attendees will be able to attend the ITEC conference and exhibition, held concurrently at that venue.
Among the topics expected to be covered by the Tire Society include tire mechanics, vehicle dynamics, rolling resistance, noise, aging/endurance and fatigue/adhesion.
Abstracts of papers should be submitted by March 1. For more information visit the Tire Society website, at www.tiresociety.org.
