TOKYO (Dec. 23, 2011)—JSR Corp. has completed /year expansion of a solution styrene-butadiene rubber line at its Yokkaichi, Japan, factory, and has another project scheduled for Thailand.
The new 25,000 metric tons line at the Yokkaichi site will begin full production this month, the firm said, following its Dec. 16 start up. The facility is rated for 60,000 tons of annual capacity.
The company also plans to build an S-SBR facility in Thailand, with the capacity of 100,000 tons. About half that output will go on line next year, JSR said.
