REIDSVILLE, N.C. (Nov. 28, 2011)—Henniges Automotive plans to spend $2.2 million to expand its Reidsville automotive sealing products plant, and add 64 jobs to the site, according to the North Carolina governor's office.
Gov. Bev Perdue said in a press release that Henniges is receiving a $65,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund for the project.
Henniges Automotive employs 226 in Reidsville, and produces sealing parts Ford Motor Co., Chrysler and BMW at the North Carolina location. The firm is a global supplier that also operates plants in Missouri, Oklahoma and Iowa.
The governor's office said salaries for the new workers will vary by job function, but the average annual wage for the jobs will be $27,849, not including benefits. The Rockingham County—where Reidsville is located—average annual wage is $31,044.
