LAS VEGAS (Nov. 2, 2011)—Falken Tire Corp. debuted four tires and announced plans to continue its motorsports sponsorships during the SEMA Show.
Falken unveiled the Azenis FK453, a successor to the FK452, which the company said will become the new Falken flagship as its most advanced UHP tire to date. The tire line features technologies developed through the company's motorsports involvement and targets sports cars and ultra-luxury coupes and sedans. Available in March 2012, the Azenis will be offered in a several sizes, ranging from 16 to 22 inches in wheel diameter.
The tire maker also introduced the WildPeak H/T, an all-season M+S tire for light trucks and SUVs. The tire offers improved dry handling and wet braking on multiple roadway surfaces. The symmetric nondirectional five-rib-design features a rigid block for handling, firmness and comfort on the road, and allows for an optimal cross rotational maintenance approach to prolong tire life. The line will be available in early 2012.
Falken, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, said it is expanding its product lines by adding another Sumitomo brand, Ohtsu.
Falken will offer the Ohtsu FP7000 HP and UHP car tire and the AT4000 all-terrain LT tire for the first time in the U.S in 2012 through select Falken distributors.
