GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 17, 2011)—Michelin North America Inc. has made the previously announced change at the top, with Pete Selleck becoming chairman and president, succeeding Richard Wilkerson, who is retiring and now is chairman emeritus.
Selleck, a 29-year Michelin veteran, now is in charge of Michelin activities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He returned to Greenville, S.C., from the parent company's global headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand, France, where he has served as president of Michelin's global Truck Tires division since January 2006.
Selleck, 56, previously led many company initiatives, such as the rollout of X-One tires in North America, the modernization of truck tire plants in Europe and North America and capacity expansions in China, India and Brazil.
Among his other roles was vice president of tire manufacturing the U.S. and Canada, chief operating officer of Michelin Americas Small Tires, and chief operating officer of the passenger and light truck tires replacement market business in Europe.
