COLUMBUS, Ohio (Sept. 27, 2011)—The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency has awarded contracts worth a combined $97.4 million for tires to Goodyear and Michelin North America Inc.
Goodyear won a fixed-price with economic price adjustment contract for a maximum $61.4 million. Michelin's contract is valued at nearly $36 million.
The terms of the contracts is to Sept. 22, 2013. The type of tires involved wasn't reported.
In June the same agency granted Goodyear and Michelin contracts for aircraft tires, worth $37.1 million $28 million, respectively.
