BEIJING (Sept. 22, 2011)—According to a report on the Chinese tire market, data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China showed that tire production rose last month in the country.
In August 2011, 72.2 million tires were made in China, a year-on-year rise of 12 percent yet 0.9-percent less than that of July. The report said output of synthetic rubber increased 20 percent year on year.
The report, published Sept. 13, also noted that from January to August, 532.5 million tires were made, year-on-year rises of 6.4 percent, and output of synthetic rubber was 2.34 million tons, year-on-year rises of 16 percent. In August, output of synthetic rubber was 302,000 tons, year-on-year rises of 20 percent, according to the data.
