FULLERTON, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2011)—Yokohama Tire Corp. will raise the prices of its light and medium truck tires in the U.S. by up to 8 percent Oct. 1, with in-line adjustments to be announced later.
The company pointed to the elevated costs of raw materials, manufacturing and transportation as the cause of the increase.
This is Yokohama Tire's third price increase this year on light and medium commercial truck tires. The firm raised prices an average of 8 percent on July 1 and on April 1, with in-line adjustments following.
