FORT MILL, S.C. (Sept. 9, 2011)—Continental Tire the Americas is raising prices in the U.S. on its passenger and light truck tire lines by up to 8.5 percent, effective Nov. 1.
The increase, with some in-line adjustments, will affect CTA's Continental-, General- and proprietary-brand passenger and light truck tires. Conti cited continuing rises in raw materials costs for the need to increase prices.
This is Conti's third price increase this year for consumer tires in the U.S. It raised prices April 1 by up to 6 percent and on Jan.1 by up to 6.5 percent.
