The notion of motive fuel systems that can also utilize alcohol-containing fuels is not new. For decades the proposition to switch motive transportation systems to some form of green fuel technology has ebbed and flowed. Today, however, the renewed interested in this idea seems more genuine than in the past. A growing awareness about the finiteness of fossil-fuel reserves combined with greater emphasis upon environmental stewardship, seem to indicate a more permanent, global relationship is now possible with the technology.
