NEW YORK (July 21, 2011)—Pirelli Tire North America Inc. has promoted several key members of its staff to new positions within the company.
Rafael Navarro has been appointed to the newly created title of vice president, communications and media relations. In his new position, he will be responsible for internal and external communications for Pirelli in the NAFTA region.
Navarro, who joined Pirelli as the senior business development manager in 2006, will integrate public relations and work closely with the marketing and motorsports departments of all three of the tire maker's country offices. He also will continue to manage key influencer relationships in the region, the tire maker said.
Marco Zambianchi, who joined the U.S. Pirelli team at the beginning of the year, has been named the vice president of marketing operations, planning and key accounts. Under the new title, he will increase his responsibility in the company's car division to include pricing, product and demand planning for the NAFTA region.
Finally, Pirelli has named Mattia Bussacchini as the general manager of Canadian operations. In addition to working closely with logistics and demand planning for Canada, Bussacchini will continue to support Pirelli's factory project in Mexico.
