WEST JAVA, Indonesia (July 14, 2011)—Tokai Rubber has set up a factory to make automotive anti-vibration products in Indonesia.
The new company is a 100-percent owned by Tokai, and is called PT. Tokai Rubber Indonesia, Tokai said. It is expected to be on stream in July 2012, building to full output in 2015.
By 2015, the company is expected to employ 300 and generate sales $51.4 million.
The unit is on a 50,000-sq.-ft. feet site and covers 7,680 square feet.
Tokai recently announced plans to build a factory to make plastic hoses for motorcycles in West Java, schedule to start up in November.
