QUINCY, Ill. (July 7, 2011)—Titan Tire Corp. said it will hike prices for Goodyear- and Titan-branded aftermarket farm tires made at its U.S. plants by as much as 8 percent on Aug. 1.
The company said certain tire prices may rise higher than 8 percent because of realignment and positioning of the product. The increases will help offset rising raw material, energy and transportation costs, Titan said.
This is Titan's third price increase this year. Titan increased prices by up to 8 percent on April 1 and Jan. 1 on the firm's Titan-branded and Titan-made Goodyear-brand aftermarket farm and construction tires.
