FULLERTON, Calif. (June 14, 2011)—Yokohama Tire Corp. will increase prices by an average of 8 percent on all of its light and medium commercial truck tires sold in the U.S., effective July 1.
Yokohama said there also will be in-line adjustments announced at a later date. The company cited rising raw material costs as the primary reason for the increase.
The Fullerton-based tire maker last raised prices on light and medium truck tires an average of 8 percent in the U.S. on April 1.
On May 1 the company raised prices up to 10 percent on all of its OTR tires in the U.S.
