LEVERKUSEN, Germany (June 6, 2011)—Lanxess A.G. said it is raising prices for its hydrogenated nitrile rubber and chloroprene rubber on June 1.
Lanxess said prices for HNBR will go up $2,000 a metric ton, depending on the region. The CR prices will advance $600 a ton in select areas.
The company said existing contractual agreements are being taken into account. It blamed the increase on continuously increasing raw material, energy and other costs.
