FULLERTON, Calif. (May 16, 2011)—Yokohama Tire Corp. has added the Philadelphia Phillies to the lineup of sports teams it is sponsoring this year.
The deal is Yokohama's second with a Major League Baseball team and is in addition to deals with two National Basketball Association teams this year and three National Football League teams last season.
The Phillies sponsorship agreement includes signage behind home plate and on the first and third base lines; pre-, post- and in-game spots on the Phillies' flagship radio station throughout the season; in-stadium displays and announcements on the public address system and LED scoreboard during games.
Along with the Phillies, Yokohama's 2011 sports marketing partnerships include the Los Angeles Angels baseball team, and the NBA's Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets. Yokohama also sponsored the Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos last season.
