(May 11, 2011)—Franklin Miller Inc. has introduced a granulator specifically designed to reduce whole bales of synthetic or natural rubber into small bits at one time without significant heat rise.
The Vulcanator KM30 features a low-friction cutter design which quickly reduces whole bales of rubber into small bits while minimizing heat rise without the need for a cooling system, the company said.
This unit is able to handle larger and heavier bales up to six times faster than previous units. The split clam shell design allows for easy maintenance of cutters and screens, according to Franklin Miller.
