TOKYO (March 21, 2011)—Prices on Tokyo's rubber exchanges continued to rise following last week's sharp falls.
On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed at $5.15 per kg on March 21. March contracts finished at $5.10 per kg on March 16.
In Singapore, Sicom said short-dated RSS3 prices closed at about $5.25. Short-dated TSR 20 also jumped by almost 10 percent, closing just below $5
India's NMCE prices also recovered, with April deliveries finishing at about $5.08 per kg.
Shanghai Futures Exchange had the highest price recorded at $5.55 per kg for short-dated contracts.
