ATLANTA (Feb. 28, 2011)—Vystar Corp. said Pioneer Balloon Co. has begun using its Vytex Natural Rubber Latex, which contains reduced levels of antigenic proteins.
Pioneer Balloon, based in Wichita, Kan., is the largest maker of latex balloons in the U.S., and is using Vytex for its premium line of Qualatex balloons, Vystar said. The company's decision followed extensive trials with the material.
Ted J. Vlamis, Pioneer Balloon vice president, touted the material.
“Vytex NRL is a superior natural rubber latex. Through our testing phase, we found that Vytex NRL produced balloons with enhanced clarity and color vibrancy, which are key characteristics that our high-end customers require,” he said.
Vlamis said the attributes of the material will give it an advantage in the marketplace over its competitors.
