SINGAPORE (Feb. 25, 2011)—The International Rubber Study Group has added four associate members.
The organization said Halcyon Agri Corp. Pte. Ltd., Lanxess Butyl Pte. Ltd, the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center and Valy Group have joined the IRSG Panel of Associates.
Halcyon Agri recently acquired two rubber processing plants in Indonesia, serving the world's tire makers. The firm also has two NR-related subsidiaries, and is a commodity service provider to a major investment bank.
Lanxess Butyl is a subsidiary of Lanxess A.G., and operates a new butyl rubber plant built in the chemical park on Jurong Island, Singapore.
The OSU center is the largest university agribioscience research center in the U.S. Valy Group is involved in NR plantations and spice, as well as fields such as cement manufacturing and vanilla processing
