CARY, N.C. (FEB. 24, 2011)—Lord Corp. said that Richard McNeel, the company's president and CEO, also has been elected as president of the maker of noise and vibration control rubber products, engineered adhesives and high performance coatings.
McNeel succeeds Sheldon Buckler, who has been chairman since 2000. “My tenure as chairman has been very rewarding and the Lord Corp. board could not be in better hands going forward,” Buckler said.
McNeel joined Lord as president and CEO in 2002. During that time sales have grown from $420 million to $720 million in 2010, and the company has added more than 400 new employees. He also has led a geographic expansion for the company, with international sales growing from less than 30 percent of sales in 2002 to nearly 50 percent last year.
