TOKYO (Feb. 18, 2011)—Bridgestone Corp. is bestowing upon Bridgestone Americas executives Gary Garfield, Eduardo Minardi and Christine Karbowiak the title of vice president with the parent company in addition to their duties with Bridgestone Americas.
The appointments are effective March 29.
Garfield, CEO and president of Bridgestone Americas since March 2010, and Minardi, Bridgestone Americas' chief operating officer since March 2010, also will be vice presidents and senior officers of Bridgestone as well as continuing as members of the board of the Americas' business unit.
Karbowiak, chief adminstrative officer and executive vice president of Bridgestone Americas since April 2010, is being named a vice president and officer of Bridgestone Corp. She also continues as a member of the board of directors of Bridgestone Americas.
Bridgestone also is bestowing the corporate vice president titles on Masakazu Sekiguchi, director, Japan tire production division, and Franco Annunziato, chief quality officer and senior vice president, technology, for Bridgestone Europe N.V./S.A.
