CYPRESS, Calif., (Feb. 15, 2011)—Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. said it is recalling 4,891 Toyo- and Nitto-brand tires in the U.S. because of potential tread separation issues.
The parent company of Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. and Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. said the passenger and light truck tires, made at a Toyo plant in Sendai, Japan, had a rubber chemical mixture that doesn't meet the firm's specification.
