ASHTABULA, Ohio—Grand River Rubber & Plastics Co.'s two owners have been searching long and hard for the right buyer to carry on the legacy of the gasket, washer and belt maker. The journey, which began more than a decade ago, ended where it started, at home, when co-owners Ric Selip and Joe Misinec sold the 35-year-old manufacturer to the firm's 200 employees via an Employee Stock Option Plan.
