INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 12, 2011)—The Association of Rubber Products Manufacturers said its membership has risen to 27 since the group started up Oct. 1, 2010.
The independent group—which formerly was the Elastomer Products Group of the Rubber Manufacturers Association—began a membership drive late last year. The organization hopes to attract companies to join by offering programs such as reducing costs through group purchasing; peer to peer networking; executive level education opportunities; and a series of operational benchmarking initiatives.
The ARPM held its first board of directors meeting on Dec. 1, at REP Corp. in St. Charles, Ill.
More information about the organization—including details about a Feb. 8 health, safety and environment conference in Akron—is available at its website, www.arpminc.org.
