NEW DELHI, India (Dec. 20, 2010)—The Indian Rubber Board reported production of natural and synthetic rubber in the country both rose in September.
A report from the board said NR output grew 4.3 percent in September from a year earlier, to 77,500 metric tons. SR production climbed 3.4 percent to 9,245 tons.
The board also said SR consumption rose 27.2 percent in the first half of fiscal 2010 to 201,625 tons.
