PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (Dec. 14, 2010) — The Retread Tire Association, now a legally recognized non-profit organization, has named 36 charter members in addition to several others that opted to remain anonymous.
In a letter sent to members of the tire industry, RTA Managing Director Harvey Brodsky said the newly formed association is “officially in business with all I's dotted and t's crossed.” In addition, he said news releases regarding future RTA projects would be coming out.
Brodsky, the former longtime managing director of the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau, recently formed the RTA after he was let go by TRIB's board of directors Oct. 5.
“We are off to a running start with an overwhelming amount of support from friends and associates from all over the world,” Brodsky said of the RTA's launch. “We know that their support will be more than justified as we unveil more exciting new programs for the betterment of retreaders, tire repair companies, new tire manufacturers, suppliers and other interested in the well being and betterment of the retread industry worldwide.”
The named RTA charter members are as follows: 31 Inc., Akron Rubber Development Laboratory Inc., Ardmore Tire, Bandenmarkt, Bob's Tire, Brannon Tire, Colony Tire, Counteract Balancing Beads Inc., Daetweiler Tire Co., Dave Aldrich, Desser Tire, Dorsey Tire, Eastern Iowa Tire, Eastern Tire Service Ltd., Halteck Corp., Hawkinson Companies, Import-Export Tires, Ironhead Rubber Technologies, JC Core L.L.C., Kargro BV, M&B Distributors, M.F.R. Tire Services Inc., Northside Tire, Parkhouse Tire, Pelmar Engineering, Pincott International Pty Ltd., Retread Manufacturers Association, Retreading Business, RTS Ring Tread System (1995) Inc., Tech Supply, TEI Service, Tire Bargain Center, Tire Recappers of Nashville, Tubby Hall, Ultraseal International Inc. and Yusan Tire.
