AKRON—Shin-Etsu Silicones of America Inc. and Arburg Inc. will be co-hosting the Fifth Annual Liquid Silicone Injection Molding Symposium Jan. 20 at Arburg's Technology Center Midwest in Elgin, Ill.
The event will include keynote technical presentations from Shin-Etsu Silicones and Arburg, as well as material, equipment and service suppliers — including Gayson SDI, Krause Analysis, Roembke Mfg. and Design and Fluid Automation — sharing their technological LSR advancements.
The symposium will focus on innovations in liquid injection molding system technology, including molding and process equipment, molds, dispensing equipment and materials, along with dedicated tracks addressing issues and advancements in multi-component applications for liquid silicone rubber.
Presentations also include products for medical and multi-component molding, silicone dispersions, multi-shot IMM technology, computer simulation advancements for LIMS part and mold flow, and LSR pumping systems and injection nozzles.
As in previous years, attendees will have the opportunity to experience hands-on equipment presentations displaying advancements in injection molding machines, liquid silicone tooling design and third stream metering/pumping systems.
